§ 9. Payment to the county: franchise fee

In consideration of the terms of this franchise, [the] cable operator agrees to pay [the] county as an annual franchise fee a sum of money not to exceed the maximum amount allowed by law as set by resolution of the board from time to time. The annual sum shall be payable to the county sixty (60) days after the last day of December of each year during the term of this ordinance. [The] cable operator shall file with the county, at the time of each annual payment, a sworn statement of the number of its subscribers within the CATV system, its operator gross revenue upon which the payment to the county is based, and a computation of the franchise fee due to the county.
